Sonrise Roofing is a green conscious company. We do everything we can to limit the impact that we have on the environment. At our company headquarters we have containers in our yard for separating plastic and cardboard packaging materials and metal containers for old gutters, valley flashings, and metal debris.

Because we work with several different types of roof tear offs, we have quite a bit of waste material. Whether it’s a composition, wood, tile or metal roof, we have the knowledge and tools to separate them into their individual components before sending them off to the appropriate disposal facilities. While reclamation of wood, tile and metal materials is relatively straight forward, members of the roofing industry have recently learned that there are facilities in our area that use recycled composition roofing materials to make paving materials.

In addition to sending used materials to reclamation centers, we also look for environmentally friendly products to use on our roofing projects. These are as varied as recycled asphalt shingles to radiant heat barrier backed roof decking.

It is our belief that keeping poisons and environmental toxins out of our air and water is something that everyone should strive to do. As a leader in the roofing industry, we take our role as environmental stewards very seriously.
