Adeline and Adam's father built Sonrise Roofing into the company Fremont homeowners called when the winter rain found a way in. Roofing was the family's way of life, not just the family business. About two years ago he retired, and with his blessing Adeline took the company forward, keeping the same office, the same phone number and the same way of doing the work.

Finished With Stone-Coated Flashings
Most roofers paint the metal flashings and vent pipes on a new roof to match the shingles. That paint can begin to wear off within the first year, and once it does, the bare metal at the base of the pipe takes every storm from November to March. That base is where the metal has its imperfections and where roofs most often leak. On a Sonrise roof, the flashings are stone coated instead.
The flashings come from California Stone Coating, a Bay Area manufacturer that specializes in this finish, so every pipe, vent and valley on the roof is matched to the shingle. Yes. Adeline comes out, looks at the roof and the attic if she can get to it, and writes up what she recommends with a price. There is no charge and no obligation. Take it, compare it with other bids, and call when you are ready.
No. A lot of our calls are repairs: a cracked pipe boot, a chimney flashing that has pulled away, a valley full of leaves that backed water under the shingles. If the roof has life left, we say so and fix the spot. If it does not, we tell you that too and put both options in writing.
Composition shingle is most of what we install and repair, because it is most of what is on East Bay houses. We also repair, inspect and replace tile roofs and metal roofs, and we take care of low-slope sections and commercial roofs.
